Tenth Annual Awards Dinner and Auction
    Fairmont Orchid Hotel *  September 1, 2007


The Tenth Annual Awards Dinner and Auction was attended by over 450 this year and was our greatest success so far.

Thanks to the support of our Community we raised $32,000 from the Silent and Live Auctions, $8,000 from the First Annual Golf Tournament and over $14,000 in Financial Donations.

Foundation Gifts.

A Big Mahalo to everyone who came out to support the
Big Island Fire Department's
equipment and training needs.

Lt. Governor Duke Aiona was a Featured Speaker at this years gala event.

He shared his personal experiences with and respect for our Fire Department here on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The Lt. Governor's visit
to the Big Island was published in his weekly newsletter.

Presenting Commendations honoring our Big Island Fire Department heroes were Senator Lorraine Inouye, Representative Cindy Evans and Councilman Angel Pilago. Other distinguised guests in attendance for this event were Councilwoman Brenda Ford, Councilman Stacy Higa and Councilman Pete Hoffman.

Mayor Harry Kim was also in  attendance as he has been        in years past.

He has been a consistent supporter of our Big Island     Fire Department.

    Ulalia Berman's Halau danced beautifully then guided the guests into the exquisitely decorated ballroom for the
opening Pule.
